Schiphol Arrivals to Schiphol (train station).

During your wait for your luggage it is already possible to buy a train ticket to Ede-Wageningen using the ticket vending machines. Click here to "practice" using the machines. Small tip: pressing the English flag in the bottom of the screen makes it a lot easier.

Note that the ticket machines and the ticket offices generally do not accept credit cards. You can pay with coins in the machine or with debit cards (Maestro). Paying with paper money is only possible at the ticket office (in the main hall near the platforms). It will cost you an additional 50 cents.

The tickets are valid on all national trains and some international trains. For national trips like this, no reservation is needed. With the ticket you can just enter the first train that goes in the direction you want to.

After heaving left arrivals, just follow the signs with the trains to the center hall.

From Schiphol Airport to Ede-Wageningen

Once you are there you first need to take care of the last part of the journey. In case you are planning to take the public bus, you will need a bus ticket (called a "strippenkaart"). You can buy these tickets at shops called "Bruna" or "AKO".

Now you just need to find the right train. The large blue screens tell you how to get to all larger train stations (including Ede-Wageningen) and where your train leaves. The yellow signs also indicate departures of trains and are sorted on destionation first. If you find yourself not sure what to do, or where to go, don't hesitate to ask the NS service staff for help.

To get to Wageningen the fastest you want to get an Intercity service calling at Ede-Wageningen. The intercity service heading for Nijmegen will do so.

From Train station 'Ede-Wagening' to the conference venue in Wageningn

At Ede-Wageningen you have (at least) 3 options to travel to the conference venue (Hof van Wageningen).

First, the taxi: leave the platform by walking down the stairs, turn right to the 'noordzijde' of the station (northwards). Exiting the station-tunnel by the stairs, you will see the taxi-stand in front of you. Taxis will bring you to your destination straight away (appr. 20-30 euros, you may share taxis).

WICaNeM Bus Shuttle: leave the platform by walking down the stairs, turn left, to the 'zuidzijde' of the station (southwards). Exiting the station-tunnel by the stairs in the southern direction walk to the car departure-area straight in front of you. The WICaNeM-shuttle is free of charge and will in principle pick you up on an hourly basis on Wednesday-afternoon/evening and Thursday. You may call the secretary 0317-484160 to inform after the arrival/departure time. The shuttle will bring you to the 'Hof van Wageningen' or the hotel at the 'Brink'. It is the first time we use a shuttle, so we ask for some consideration for potential misfortunes.

Public Bus: depart the platform by walking down the stairs, turn left, to the 'zuidzijde' of the station (southwards). Exiting the station-tunnel by the stairs in the southern direction pass by the solid bicycle shed, turn left again, to find after 100 meters the bus-stop of the Veolia-bus line 88. It will quickly bring you to the, easy to recognize, busstation in Wageningen. Here you walk back from where the bus came from (westwards) for 2 blocks, on the left sidewalk, to arrive at the conference center 'Hof van Wageningen' TThe 'Brink' is at the busstation. This region and public transport is safe. We hope to see you in at the conference venue.
Remember the "strippenkaart" you just bought at the airport? You can use this card here as well to get on board line 88 to Wageningen Bus station. The bus station is the terminal station.
