Preceding the WICaNeM 2010 conference, on Wednesday 26 May, 2010, a doctoral symposium will be organized in collaboration with the Mansholt Graduate School of Social Sciences, of Wageningen University. At the symposium, international experts in the field of chains and networks studies will give their comments on the papers and presentation. PhD-students from all over the world are invited to participate in the symposium.

Time schedule:

15 January 2010:       Deadline for submission of abstracts

15 February 2010:      Notification of the abstract evaluation

15 March 2010:             Deadline for submission of full paper

1 May 2010:              Notification of revision of full papers

Submitting papers

You can submit your abstract by sending it to the Mansholt PhD Council as e-mail attachment: phdcouncil.mg3s@wur.nl. An abstract should be written in English and contain around 500 words (one page A4).  

The scientific abstracts should use the following headings:

- objective of the study
- theory
- methodology
- main findings
- conclusion & (management) implications
